The Elwy Twig Project
Dyffryn Elwy Coedwigoedd I Bobl is a 2 year project funded by the National Lottery and delivered by Elwy Working Woods under the project title Elwy Twig.
Elwy Twig Objectives
Improve the value and resilience of locally sourced timber by better Woodland Management. Develop a circular local economy, use local labour, reduce transport impacts and improve woodland biodiversity. Improving timber quality for future generations.
About the project
Elwy Working Woods is a local Co-operative and Social enterprise dedicated to rural regeneration, job creation and sustainable rural development through better management of local timber resources.

Access to green space to benefit health and wellbeing for local people.
We will encourage people from all walks of life to explore and enjoy their local woodland environment.We will provide opportunities to introduce people to traditional woodland crafts. Provide a woodland resource for local user groups and improve access for those who wish to simply enjoy a woodland walk.
